Alyson Morgan

Alyson Morgan is a writer, photographer, folk herbalist and mother. Everything she does, from canning homegrown pickles to tending her garden, is rooted in her deep desire to reclaim our relationship with the earth and each other. She works each day to give herself wholly to the earth. Her writing, photography, online apothecary, and collaborations with earth-conscious brands are all an intuitive and intentional extension of this passion.

Alyson has a degree in International Relations with an emphasis on Climate Change, Natural Resource Use and Global Health from University of California, Davis. But more than simply understanding how global capitalism affects everyday folk and our sacred planet, she uses her knowledge to help others divest from those systems with small but tangible actions, like hanging laundry to dry, maintaining a compost pile, or knowing where your food comes from. 

Her first book, Our Kindred Home: Herbal Recipes, Plant Wisdom, and Seasonal Rituals for Rekindling Connection with the Earth, was published by Rodale Books in 2023.
