Anil Seth

Anil Seth is Professor of Cognitive and Computational Neuroscience at the University of Sussex, and Co-Director of the Sackler Centre for Consciousness Science. He is also Editor-in-Chief of Neuroscience of Consciousness (Oxford University Press). He is on the steering group and advisory board of the Human Mind Project and is member at large for the ASSC. He is also a Wellcome Trust Engagement Fellow, and a Senior Fellow of the Canadian Institute for Advanced Research. 

Anil writes regularly for the New Scientist, The Guardian, and the BBC, and was recently interviewed on Radio 4's The Life Scientific. His public lectures include a Royal Institution Friday Discourse, New Scientist Live, and TEDx. His first book — Being You: A New Science of Consciousness — was published by Faber in 2022; it was chosen as a Book of the Year by The Guardian, The Economist, New Statesman and Financial Times.
