Cosima Gretton
Cosima is a British medical doctor and health technology expert. She trained in general medicine in the NHS before moving to California to lead product teams at two fast-growing health technology startups in infectious disease diagnostics and virtual therapy for serious mental illness.
During the COVID-19 pandemic she led a new technology programme for the UK’s NHS Test & Trace. She set up the first nationwide public health testing programme to use a rapid low-cost technology called loop-mediated-isothermal amplification (LAMP), establishing manual laboratories across the NHS, a fleet of 46 mobile laboratories for rapid outbreak response and two state-of-the-art high-throughput robotic laboratories, designed with engineers from Formula 1 MacLaren.
Since leaving Test & Trace she is consulting for diagnostic and digital health startups, including delivering a digital and data science strategy for psychedelic pharmaceutical startup Beckley Psytech and scientific advisory for global medical consumables distribution company, 2San.
