Evan Davis
Evan Davis is the lead anchor of the BBC2 daily flagship news programme, Newsnight, and one of the best-known journalists in the UK. A renowned specialist in economics and business, he hosts a weekly business discussion programme and podcast, The Bottom Line and he was the Economics Editor of the BBC - the most senior economics reporter in the corporation - between 2001 and 2008.
He studied at St John's College Oxford and the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. Before joining the BBC in 1993, he was an economist at the Institute for Fiscal Studies and at the London Business School. He is the author of a number of books, including Made in Britain: How the Nation Earns its Living (Little, Brown, 2011) and Post-Truth: Peak Bullshit and What We Can Do About It (2017). He also co-authored The Penguin Dictionary of Economics and The New Penguin Dictionary of Business.
