Jennifer Raff
Jennifer Raff is an Associate Professor of Anthropology at the University of Kansas with a dual Ph.D. in anthropology and genetics. She has spent over fourteen years of researching ancient and modern human DNA from the Americas. In addition to her research, she writes on issues of scientific literacy and anthropological research at her own website, Violent Metaphors. She is a frequent contributor for The Guardian, HuffPost and Evolution Institute, and she writes a monthly column for Forbes in an effort to improve public understanding of the scientific process. Her first book, Origin: A Genetic History of the Americas, was published in February 2022 and became a New York Times Bestseller.
