Kevin Fong

Kevin Fong holds degrees in medicine, astrophysics and engineering, is an honorary senior lecturer in physiology at University College London, and an Engagement Fellow at the Wellcome Trust. He has completed specialist training in anaesthesia and intensive care medicine, has worked with NASA, and is founder and associate director of the Centre for Altitude, Space and Extreme Environment Medicine.

Kevin is one of the most widely-recognised scientists on TV. He has presented the two-part documentary, 'To Boldly Go' (BBC2), written and presented 'Space Shuttle: The Final Mission in 2011', and has also fronted two BBC2 Horizon documentaries: 'Back from the Dead' and 'How to Mend a Broken Heart', as well as numerous programmes on Radio 4. He writes for the Guardian, and has a regular column in The Times Higher Educational magazine. His book, Extremes: Life, Death and the Limits of the Human Body, was published in 2013.
