William Miller

William Miller was born in New York City in 1964 when his father, Jonathan Miller was performing in the famous 1960s comedy review, Beyond the Fringe. A few months later the family moved back to London where William spent the rest of his childhood growing up in one of London's most iconic and talked-about streets — Gloucester Crescent. William was sent to a number of London state schools before finishing off his education at Bedales School in Hampshire. Having failed every one of his A levels and then refusing to go to university, he went on to have a long and successful career as a television producer and media executive. In the 1990s he ran one of the UK's biggest factual production companies and then, after a brief spell as Conde Nast's Head of New Media, became Nigella Lawson's business partner. Here he produced her critically acclaimed cooking shows along with creating and managing her global retail brand business — Living Kitchen. In 2005 William was bought out of Nigella's company and went on to set up a media and retail consulting firm.

In April 2008, William was hired by the commercial arm of the BBC to be their global head of talent where, over the next five years, he set up and ran their Talent Ventures business. Then in August of 2014, William left to set up Raconteur, a TV production company developing a range of ambitious television projects as well as a stage play about his father's friendship with Oliver Sacks.

In 2009, William returned to Gloucester Crescent where he now lives three doors from his parents with his wife and two teenage daughters.
