Foreign Rights and Agent's Assistant

Teddie joined Janklow & Nesbit in 2025 after completing an MA in Publishing at UCL, where her research was fuelled by her passion for translated literature*. She is fascinated with the significance of nurturing relationships between ‘big’ and ‘small’ language countries and decided to pursue a career in foreign rights, dreaming of one day giving voice to authors who write in peripheral languages.

She currently assists the Foreign Rights team and handles translation rights directly in Bulgaria and smaller territories in Asia. As of 2026, she also joined the primary agenting side by becoming Emma Leong’s assistant.
