Dr. Matilda Brindle

Dr. Matilda Brindle is a world expert on the evolution of non-reproductive sexual behaviours. Her work is published in world-class journals, and her most recent paper, on the evolution of kissing, attracted widespread international media coverage from outlets including BBC, The Times, The Guardian, The Telegraph, CNN, NPR, CBC, ABC and others. Her research involves a mixture of methods, some glamorous (like chasing through tropical jungles and Caribbean islands spying on monkeys), and some less so (running endless evolutionary simulations back at her desk in Oxford). Matilda is passionate about communicating her research across various forms of media (TV, radio, podcasts and essays), always aiming to make complex science accessible without losing nuance.
