Gavin Knight
Gavin Knight is a freelance journalist who has written for the Times, Prospect, the Guardian, the Daily Mail, Newsweek, the Evening Standard, Monocle, and Esquire, as well as appearing on Sky, BBC, ITN, CNN, Channel Four news.
He is the author of two acclaimed non-fiction books: Hood Rat: Britain's Lost Generation (Picador, 2012) is about gun and gang crime in Britain's inner cities. It was shortlisted for the Orwell Prize and CWA Non-fiction Dagger Award. It was serialised in the Telegraph and was BBC Radio 4's Book of the Week; The Swordfish & The Star: Life on Cornwall's Most Treacherous Stretch of Coast (Vintage, 2016) is about the life of Cornish fishermen. It was voted Book of the Year by the Financial Times & Esquire.
He lives in Cornwall with his family.
