George Gillett

Dr George Gillett is a medical doctor, clinical psychiatrist and academic researcher. He graduated in Medicine at the University of Oxford, before undertaking Clinical Psychiatry training at the Maudsley Hospital in London. He has worked across a variety of NHS services, as well as conducting research at the Department of Psychiatry, University of Oxford and the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience, King’s College London. He will shortly take up a fellowship at the University of Cambridge, funded by the Wellcome Trust. Outside his academic research, he has written for the Guardian, Independent, New Statesman, Spectator, Salon, ABC News, New Internationalist, Huffington Post and openDemocracy, and The Sunday Times.
