Laurie Canciani

Laurie Canciani was born in 1987 and grew up in Bridgend, a small town at the geographical heart of South Wales. Laurie was kicked out of school age 16, after which she battled with a brief but crippling bout of agoraphobia. She rediscovered her love of writing in her early twenties, and went on to study English and Creative Writing at Newport University. She earned an MA in Creative Writing at Bath Spa University in 2013, and moved back to Bridgend later that year, where she currently works in a shop.

Her debut novel — The Insomnia Museum — was published by Head of Zeus in 2018.
