Mona Bani

Mona Bani is the child of Iranian political refugees, raised in Denmark and now living in the UK. She's the founder and director of the grassroots organisation Revoke, working with young displaced people in London, the award-winning media platform Untelevised, documenting social change work, and a trustee at the Thirty Percy Foundation, overseeing their decolonial spend-down strategy.

For her migration work, she’s been selected as a Clore Lived Experience Leader in the Migration Sector, an Aspen Leadership fellow and currently advises the Mayor of London’s Migration Team. She’s a regular spokesperson on international media, including the BBC, LBC, DW German TV, Movistar+, where she focuses particularly on migrant justice; a contributor to the Ethical Consumer Magazine Beyond Consumerism column; and In 2021 she was selected to write an International Women's Day feature for Stylist Magazine about her mum’s fight for freedom.
