Tom Chivers

Tom Chivers is a science writer and author. He is the science writer for Semafor. He won the ABSW award for Science Journalist of the Year, the Royal Statistical Society “statistical excellence in journalism” award in 2018, and was highly commended for the same prize in 2017. 

He is the author of four books: The AI Does Not Hate You (2019), The Rationalist’s Guide to the Galaxy (2021), How to Read Numbers (2022) and Everything is Predictable: How Bayes' Remarkable Theorem Explains the World (2024), all published by W&N.
