Ben Lyttleton
Ben Lyttleton is an author, keynote speaker and football club co-owner. His first book Twelve Yards: The Art and Psychology of the Perfect Penalty (2014) helped England win its first World Cup penalty shoot-out and has redefined how the football world approaches penalty-kicks. His next book Edge: Leadership Secrets of Football’s Top Thinkers (2017) explored how the world’s best football coaches improve the mindset of their players and provided lessons for leaders in other industries.
Ben is also the co-author of the best-selling children’s book series Football School, which uses football to inspire children to read. The books, written with Alex Bellos, have sold over 500,000 copies in the UK, and Ben works with the Premier League and FIFA, using football as a tool for education.
Ben recently became co-owner and board member at Akademisk Boldklub (known as AB), a professional football team in Denmark. Ben is at the heart of the process to create a successful modern football club. AB recently beat one of Denmark’s top teams in the Danish Cup - on penalties, of course - to reach the Cup quarter-finals for the first time in over 20 years.
